Our Why

Luminara was created in response to an industry that too often operates without care, consistency, or accountability.

After years of working within cleaning companies that lacked clear standards, proper hygiene practices, and ethical treatment of both employees and clients, it became clear that something fundamental was missing. Corners were cut, expectations were unclear and In many cases homes were left no cleaner and often less hygienic than before.

Luminara exists to be different.

We believe that inviting someone into your home should come with complete trust, transparency, and peace of mind. That trust is earned through intention, preparation, and unwavering standards, not shortcuts or vague promises.

From our client onboarding process where we take the time to understand sensitivities, preferences, and personal spaces, to the way we maintain transparency and accountability, with work that is guided by integrity. If something isn’t right we address it. If a standard isn’t met we correct it.

Our Hygiene Guarantee is not a marketing phrase, it is a system.

Every Luminara visit follows strict protocols to prevent cross-contamination and deliver genuine cleanliness. Fresh, professionally laundered, colour-coded cloths are used in every home, with designated cloths for high-risk areas such as washrooms. All reusable tools and equipment are disinfected between visits, guided by a comprehensive checklist.

We do not believe in “one solution fits all” cleaning. Effective cleaning requires the right tools, the right products, and consistent quality control. The result is a space that doesn’t just look clean, but truly feels refreshed, safe, and cared for.

Luminara operates with a conscious approach to sustainability, rooted in care rather than convenience. We prioritize reusable, well-maintained tools, avoid single-use products wherever possible, and purchase materials in bulk to reduce waste. Many of our cleaning solutions are simple, thoughtfully made in house to minimize excess packaging, while still meeting our performance standards.

Being intentional with resources is not a limitation it is a discipline. To us, care, curation, and longevity are inseparable from quality. As Luminara grows, so will our efforts to give back, including future community initiatives focused on environmental care.
